We hope you’ll join us on Friday evening August 10th.  We will hear yet another Celebrate Recovery testimony of a life that’s been changed by God’s healing power.  CR teaches steps to put our faith into action.  This is real Bible application and we should not be surprised that it works, because God is faithful.

Friday July 6, 2018 Lesson 22: Gratitude

“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.”

Psalm 107:15

We can all be thankful for something – and most of us have much to be thankful for even though our lives may not have turned out quite the way we envisioned.  First and most importantly, we can be thankful to God for all he’s done for us.  We need to offer daily prayers of gratitude to our Creator.  The above passage from Psalm 107 encourages us to give thanks to God for his unconditional love for us.

We hope you will join us on Friday evening, July 6 when we share CR Lesson 22: GRATITUDE and are reminded of the importance of maintaining an “attitude of gratitude” every day of our lives.  See you then!!

 Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee

Friday June 22, 2018- Video Testimony: Karie W.

“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever his life for me will find it.”

Matthew 16:25

This paradox often stymies us.  We want to do it, but, if we are honest, we find it is harder than we thought.

We hope you will join us on Friday, June 22 when we will hear how God opened the doors to let a woman out of her imprisonment to beauty and food.  She found that with Jesus through forgiveness and learning to be vulnerable, God could use her brokenness for his glory.

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group (in the Chapel)

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee/Solid Rock Café

Friday June 15, 2018- Lesson 21: Relapse

“So if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!”

I Corinthians 10:12

Most people still think CR is for addicts and alcoholics.  And it is, but it is also for any of us who have areas of our lives that are out of control or habits that interfere with our relationship with ourselves, God or others.  And that is really, ALL of us.  Join us this week as David talks about relapse.  How to avoid “back-slidiing” into those familiar but not so helpful places where we try to hide from ourselves, God and others.  This is a lesson for ALL of us.

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group (in the Chapel)

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee/Solid Rock Café

***No Childcare Available***

We look forward to seeing you on June 15th!

Friday April 6, 2018- Lesson 16 Amends

Celebrate Recovery Step 9

“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Matthew 5:23-24 NIV

We have all been hurt and we have all hurt others.  But that is not the end of the story.  We have forgiveness in Christ and because of that we have a basis to ask forgiveness from those we have hurt.  When we confess to ourselves, we are being honest.  When we confess to God we are being forgiven.  When we confess to someone we have hurt, we are making amends and pursuing the healing our relationships cry out for. Our lesson on making amends outlines a safe, healthy approach to making amends.  Join us if you have relationships that cry out for healing.

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee/Solid Rock Café

Friday, December 8, 2017- Lesson 8: Moral

“Happy are the pure in heart.’”

Matthew 5:8

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to escape the pain of your past altogether by going around it or jumping over it?  But the only way we know of to get rid of the pain of our past is to go through it.  Some people spend their lives rationalizing the past, complaining about the present, and fearing the future.  They are not moving forward on the road to recovery.  Celebrate Recovery’s Principle 4 begins the process of “coming clean.”  It is here that we openly examine and confess our faults to ourselves, to God, and another person we trust.

Join us on Friday evening, December 8 when we will hear one of our CR participants share our MORAL lesson.  You will learn the importance of Principle 4 and Step 4 learn how to analyze your past honestly, face your faults and put them behind you.  We hope to see you then!

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee/Solid Rock Café

Friday, October 27, 2017- Lesson: TURN

“Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door; I will come in and eat with that person and they with me.”

Revelation 3:20

Join us at Celebrate Recovery on Friday, October 27 when we answer the question, How do we TURN over our lives and wills to our Higher Power, Jesus Christ?” and begin our work on Principle Three:  Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.

Many people don’t understand that putting off the decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior is really deciding not to accept him.  Principle Three is like opening the door:  All you need is the willingness to make the decision.  Christ will do the rest!

We look forward to seeing you at our meeting on October 27.

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group (in the Chapel)

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

Friday August 18, 2017- Lesson 25: Seven Reasons We Get Stuck

“Are you so foolish?  After beginning with the Spirit are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?”

Galatians 3:3

In the last lesson of the year, Celebrate Recovery will consider how to maintain a strong recovery by looking at the 7 reasons we get stuck.  Of course, there more than 7 ways we can get stuck, but these are the 7 most common and there are guidelines about how to get unstuck.  This lesson is another important way to apply the gospel to our lives every day as we seek to be more like Jesus.

Our weekly schedule:

6pm – dinner

7pm – large group (in the Chapel)

8pm – small open share groups (issue & gender specific)

9pm – dessert & coffee/Solid Rock Café
