Friday, November 29th, 2019 – Testimony of Julie H.

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

I John 3:18

We hope you will join us for our Celebrate Recovery meeting on Friday evening, November 29, when we will hear a hope-filled CR testimony.  The world can argue with many things in this life, but the one thing they cannot argue is a changed life.   At CR we are blessed to hear one of these amazing stories every other week.  We hope to see you on the 29th when we will all be encouraged by the powerful video recovery story.

We pray we will see you at a meeting soon!

Friday, November 22, 2019 – Action!

“Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Revelation 3:20

When it comes to choosing Jesus as our Higher Power, there are only two options:  He either is or isn’t our Savior and Lord.  Putting off the decision to accept Jesus is, in effect, deciding not to accept him.  Today is the day to accept Jesus!  Only then can we make the initial commitment to seek and follow God’s will for our life.  We hope you’ll join us on Friday evening, November 22 for our ACTION Lesson.

We look forward to seeing you then!

Weekly Friday Evening Schedule:

6:00pm – dinner

Friday, November 15th, 2019 – Testimony

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

I John 3:18

We hope to see you at our Celebrate Recovery meeting on Friday evening, November 15, when we will hear another hope-filled CR testimony.  God is good and he wants a personal relationship with each of us, but we are flawed human beings and we often stray and put other things, sometimes substances, sometimes relationships before him. When we hit our bottoms and reach the point where all we can do is look up to him for help, God uses the tools we receive at Celebrate Recovery to work powerfully in our lives.  He then brings the change and recovery that we so desperately need and that he only can give.

We pray we will see you at a meeting soon!

Weekly Friday Evening Schedule:

6:00pm – dinner

7:00pm – large group meeting

8:00pm – small open share group meetings (gender & issue specific)

9:00pm – Solid Rock Café (dessert & coffee fellowship)

Friday, November 8th, 2019 – Turn!

“If you declare with your lips, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9

When we work Celebrate Recovery Principle 3 we make the one-time, permanent decision to turn over our lives to the care of God – the most important decision we’ll ever make.  Our choice, not chance, determines our destiny.  That decision requires putting our faith into action.  Faith is taking God at his word.  For some people that seems too simple, but it isn’t.  Our salvation depends much more on God’s love for us than on our love for him.

We hope you’ll join us on Friday, November 8 for our TURN Lesson when we will learn how to TURN our lives over to the one and only Higher Power, Jesus!  On that evening we will also enjoy a yummy potluck dinner.  We look forward to seeing you then!

Weekly Friday Evening Schedule:

6:00pm – dinner

7:00pm – large group meeting

8:00pm – small open share group meetings (gender & issue specific)

9:00pm – Solid Rock Café (dessert & coffee fellowship)

November 1st, 2019 – Testimony

“I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

On Friday evening, November 1, we will hear another encouraging CR testimony of how God has brought about tremendous growth and change to a life through the tools provided at Celebrate Recovery.  God has a plan for each of us.  When we begin recovery, our lives are like a puzzle with pieces scattered randomly.  We don’t know where to begin, but God does, and he puts us back together, placing each piece where it belongs. We hope and pray we will see you on Friday the 1st of November and that someday, in the near future, you and God will begin to write your recovery story.

7:00pm – Large group meeting

8:00pm – Small open share group meetings (gender & issue specific)

“Happy are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

We hope you will join us for our meeting on Friday evening, October 11th, when we will share the wonderful Celebrate Recovery Lesson on HOPE. In the first CR Principle we admitted we were powerless. Now in the second CR Principle we come to believe God exists, that we are important to Him, and that we are able to receive God’s power to help us recover. It’s in the second principle that we find HOPE!

Friday, October 4th, 2019 – David S.

“No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.”
Luke 8:16

On Friday evening, October 4, we will hear from David S, a member of our CR family. It will encourage your heart and is a wonderful, hope-filled recovery story of a life of addiction surrendered to God that is now a life of freedom, joy and service to others. Please join us on the first Friday in October and be blessed by Dave’s story. Then join us week after week as together we walk our individual roads to recovery hand-in-hand with the One who saves and heals us from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups, Jesus.

Friday, September 27th, 2019 – Powerless

“Problems far too big for me to solve are piled higher than my head. Meanwhile, my sins, too many to count, have all caught up with me and I am ashamed to look up.” Psalm 40:12

We hope you will come to our meeting on Friday evening, September 27 when we will share the Powerless Lesson and continue our work on Step 1/Principle 1. If you have ever even considered attending a meeting, now is the perfect time to start because our curriculum year has only just begun.

Principle 1 Prayer:
Dear God, Your word tells me that I can’t heal my hurts, hang-ups, and habits by just saying that they are not there. Help me! Parts of my life, or all of my life, are out of control. I now know that I cannot “fix” myself. It seems the harder that I try to do the right thing the more I struggle. Lord, I want to step out of my denial into the truth. I pray for you to show me the way. In Your Son’s name I pray. Amen.

See you at a meeting soon!

Weekly Friday Evening Schedule:

7:00pm – large group meeting
8:00pm – small open share group meetings (gender & issue specific)

Friday, September 20th, 2019 – A New Year

“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
I John 3:18

We hope you will join us for our Celebrate Recovery meeting on Friday evening, September 20, when we will hear another beautiful CR testimony. The honesty at CR stands out and is never more impressive than when a fellow participant shares his or her story. After we work through the 12 steps and 8 CR principles, God helps us write our story and then gives us the courage to share it. If you’ve never heard a CR testimony, you are missing out and, if you have ever contemplated checking us out, now’s a great time to do so because it’s the beginning of our 15th year!

Weekly Friday Evening Schedule:
6:00pm – dinner
7:00pm – large group meeting
8:00pm – small open share group meetings (gender & issue specific)
9:00pm – Solid Rock Café (dessert & coffee fellowship)
